Return of the Turbofans

I had a wonderful email from a lady about a month back, "All my son wants for Christmas is a Titanium Turbofan". I unfortunately lost track of her email address however I took the dust off the CNC files I wrote almost 2 years ago and turned out a fresh batch of 45mm Titanium Turbofans.

Presenting my latest creation - Aluminum Guilloche

This dial was mad using a sheet of perfect 0.25mm thick aluminum and a custom made blunt conical cutter. The actual depth of the grooves is about .15mm and that depth was achieved 0.04mm at a time. The motion of the table was accelerated and decelerated at the beginning and end of each line which gives the stacked appear acne of tool marks in the corners. This dial will be lumed and installed in on of my 45mm titanium cases with Asian hand wind movement.

Selling my personal every day watch

This beauty has been on my wrist 3-4 days a week for the past year. It is a 47mm custom brushed finish case with a vintage finished dial and an insane scorpion engraving on the back. For more info visit the for sale post on WUS by clicking here

SLQ-002 Mother of Pearl Phantom

43mm stainless steel case, Swiss ETA quartz, sapphire crystal, rose gold hands, CNC machined mother of pearl dial with phantom lume application.

This piece of material has alot of "character" compared to pieces I have used in the past. There are some sharp lines and small imperfections that really add to the overall package.

Coming soon - Titanium Turbofan Skeleton - Black Series

This dial is nearly ready for lume application. It will be paired to a black PVD coated skeleton movement and a set of hands that I have yet to select. I am aiming to have the watch completed before the weekend is up, for now enjoy the photos of the dial. It is machine from 0.25mm aluminum sheet and painted with my "Black Series" surface finish.

Q55 Full Lume Silver Texalium Prototype

Threw a quick vid together.. so difficult to give a real sense of the watch with stills, hopefully this is a little more entertaining as well. This watch is currently on eBay, starting at $1 with no reserve price and 24 high resolution photos - click here for the listing.

A Pair Of New Full Lume Silver Texalium Prototype Dials

I really enjoy working with silver texalium as it has a surface weave pattern that is probably nicer than any other composite material. The greatest drawback of this material is that it is basically translucent and requires multiple extra steps for a proper lume application. So instead of spending my time wrestling with the unique characteristic of this material I decided to take advantage of its translucency to make a full lume, or more appropriately a "Ghost Lume" dial. The process needs a bit of refinement and the larger dial is clearly the brighter of the pair. I also love the way the blue lume is ghosted around the indexes. These dials will find their way into a 45mm titanium case with handwind movement and a monster 55mm case with quartz movement very soon. Look for them in my upcoming weeks eBay listings!

2 New PyroLume creations on eBay now

For this week I chose to break out some Gold Texalium fiber that I had laying around. It's been a while since I used this material and I have to say the results are quite nice. For more photos you can visit the ebay listings for these watches here:
